I'm sorry that the outcome of Prop 8 may affect the rights of couples of ANY orientation. As a Christian I want to be as kind and tolerant to others as I can. I wish there was a way same sex couples could have all the rights they want without infringing on mine.
But this issue is about MY right to raise MY children as I see fit. I agree that love is love and everyone deserves to be happy but I don't agree that anyone has the right to teach my children that is HOW to be happy. With the government telling me teachers don't have to inform me. Anyone who says this wouldn't happen is ignoring or denying the facts of Parker v. Hurley in Massachusetts. I will fight to the death to protect my family and my god given right to teach my children the values that I see fit.
To those who interpret what I have said a hate and discrimination I would ask; How is it that anyone who agrees with you is open minded and others with an opinion that challenges yours is a brainwashed bigot? Same sex partners already have rights do they not? Why do we need to change the definition of a religious rite and lessen the rights of others.
